Hi friends,
hope you have gone through and implemented our last post
regarding Covid 19 prevention
In today’s blog I want to share an interesting topic of Ayurveda
lifestyle called as
*Bramhe muhurte uttishthat *
which means getting up early before sunrise.
Many great authors have depicted the importance of rising up before
sunrise in their books.
One such author called Mr.
Robin Sharma wrote a book on rising up early named it as
"5 am club" which was bestselling
book for quite a long time. Robin Sharma studied life of
various successful persons from various fields and found one
thing common in them that is to
rise early.
Benjamin franklin once said,
“Early to bed early to
rise makes man healthy, wealthy and wise”.
To rise early is very important habit for our gut and brains health.
Gut and brain both are
interconnected by gut brain
axis.
As far as Ayurveda is considered whole day and night are divided
into three parts namely
Vat,Pitta and Kapha, predominance early morning is time of Vata dosh.
Its important time
considering process of Defaecation/
Excretion as this process is under control of vata dosha
and can be properly executed if we rise up early when naturally Vat
dosha is predominant in body.
Many people suffer with chronic
constipation and main factor behind development of this is
habit of rising up late, some other factors are also responsible for
constipation that we will discuss
later on. Due to late wake up formed stool will be kept in intestine
for longer duration and then
toxic substances will be reabsorbed from intestinal tubules, so it
will create more problems and
development of various diseases.
There is another important statement regarding maintaining proper
health which is,
Breakfast like a King
Lunch like a prince
Dinner like a pauper
Most of late risers have stress to reach workplace in time which is
not a best start of the day
So they can’t plan their Day properly as well as late risers tend to skip their breakfast which
further creates bad effect on health as breakfast is considered as important
meal of the day.
It is very important to have proper sleep before getting up early and
do at least 20 min exercise
after that we can plan our day. Intellect
is useless if energy is lacking.
If we get up late we are forced to live day in reactionary manner, and
thus we cannot plan our day.
Importance of sleep: It’s important
to have proper 7-8 hours’ sleep as its time when our body is
nurturing and repairing itself. Sleep is the necessity of body not the
luxury.
So it’s not wise to compromise our sleep hours to get up early,
so to rise early we have to go to
bed early.
In early morning hours’ mind is capable of deep learning and there is
lesser distraction in the
environment, mind is full of positive thoughts. When you get up early
you have natural tendency
to go to sleep early by which you can catch golden hours for sleep between 10pm-2 am.
Waking up early benefits us in handling stress, it manages our basal
metabolic rate properly and
this in turn will help us combating various metabolic disorders e.g.
Obesity, Thyroid disorders.
Practically speaking it is hard to wake up early but if we give proper
importance to this thing and
understand benefits of it then it becomes manageable.
Scientific reason behind
Dopamine and serotonin are
neurotransmitters in our brain plays role in sleep- awake cycle.
If we disturb this cycle and if we are sleep deprived, then this may
result in disturbing levels of this
crucial neurotransmitters which finally can give rise to various
mental and physical ailments.
So rise before sun,Life will be a fun.
